NewClassicalReleases.co.uk was launched in October 2009 to let everyone who enjoys classical recordings see everything that’s new - on one easy-to-browse website.

It was nearly a year ago that I stumbled across another new release I could easily have missed, and wondered where on the web I could see all the latest recordings. When I realised the kind of website I had in mind didn’t exist, I decided to set one up, and found the perfect partners in White Label Productions - who have years of experience presenting classical recordings online.

Most retail sites have to promote the most 'commercial' releases, as their income depends on selling. We don’t sell anything, so we can focus entirely on providing information. We just show all the latest CDs and DVDs and let you, the customer, decide what you want.

To help you buy the recordings you see, we include full listings of all UK retailers; shops, mail order companies and download stores.

In order to stay independent we don't charge for including releases on the site. Our aim is to eventually fund the site through selling advertising space, but that can only happen if we get enough regular visitors.
